Lavender Shop and Gardens

Last fall, the Mister and I, took a trip to Virginia. Before spending a few days at the beach, we visited some interesting small towns. One was Harrisonburg, Virginia. It's the home of the White Oak Lavender Shop and Gardens... field after field of wonderfully scented lavender and beautiful color.

They have a gift shop, winery, and interactive gardens.

They sell EVERYTHING lavender.... beautiful lavender - themed gifts...

lavender wine, lavender ice cream!
  fresh lavender bouquets!

I really enjoyed my afternoon there and if you're in the area, stop by... you won't be disappointed!
Here's where I'll be sharing:

Mosaic Monday

Two in a bush.....

I know the quote about " A bird in the hand is worth two in a bush" which means it's better to have a small real advantage than the possibility of a greater one.  but how about the center photo from my garden with two butterflies...that's just simply beautiful!

**The term bird in hand must have been known in the USA by 1734, as that is the date when a small town in Pennsylvania was founded with that name.

Oh Spring...where art thou??

Our local super market had these
pretty littl' babies on sale for
$1.50 each!

I just couldn't resist buying a couple to bring a little color into my kitchen on a snowy March day. Primrose are the first perennials that bloom in my garden each spring and I just can't wait!

Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.

Mosaic Monday

I'm such a sentimental soul......I love anything old.
Old china, old linens and ladies hankies,
old stories, old houses and barns
 and...
Thanks to Mary over at "Little red house" for her  Mosaic Monday meme.

Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute, every breath, is a gift from God.
