How gorgeous! I used to have some of these in pots and they sure have beautiful big blooms. I was surprised to see them growing in flower beds here in FL. I need to get better pics when they bloom. Love the color of yours! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteOh, please do post those when they bloom! I have never seen them planted in the ground!
DeleteI always think of my mother when I see amaryllis flowers. She must have a hundred in her yard. Lovely.

I would have loved to see that. Must have been beautiful!
DeleteSuzy - you are spot on! I have added an abundance of red decorations to the house in an attempt to brighten it, and in honor of Valentine's Day. I admire how you took the photo in front of the curtain - very effective. Thanks for supporting Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteYes, thank goodness Valentine's day comes after Christmas to fill the color void on dark, dreary winter days!
DeleteLovely, happy amaryllis! Your first photo reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe's flower paintings. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're right! It does look like her style of painting!
