Sheets to Shower Curtains

I love to re-create with sheets!

Think about it.The cost of fabric has skyrocketed in the last few years. All the fabric chain stores have closed in our area except one... creating a monopoly. Cotton blends that used to sell for $2.99 a yard there are now seven and eight dollars!

That's why I use bed sheets. Large pieces of fabric, plenty of patterns to choose from, and you can find them marked down or on sale really inexpensive.

I made this one for spring!
I posted the directions when I made a burgundy and gold one for fall.

I've made shower curtains, valances, table runners, dust ruffles, window curtains, tablecloths...and the list goes on.

I added a new piece of diy framed art!

  1. Hi Suzy, what a great way to use a pretty sheet! I do not know how to sew, so I admire anyone who does! Your artwork is gorgeous! Thanks so much for your recent visit to my garden! Have a great week.

  2. Hi Suzy. I love thrifted bed sheets for the sheer volume of fabric too. I make gift ties from lengths of vintage floral bed sheet, stamped with birdcages or chandeliers and glitter. It looks surprisingly effective with a solid coloured paper! Your shower curtain is inspired! Please come and share at my Five Star Frou-Frou linkup at A Tray of Bliss? Mimi xxx

  4. Suzy I love the idea of using sheets for a shower curtain, especially since I have that ready made shower curtains are never the right length. This is perfect and so pretty!

    1. Thanks Stacey! It was a sheet that I had only used once so I didn't even have to buy a sheet!
