The Words I Would Say - Sidewalk Prophets
Three in the morning, and I’m still awake
So I picked up a pen and a page
And I started writing just what I’d say
If we were face to face
I’d tell you just what you mean to me
Tell you these simple truths
CHORUS
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope
You’re gonna do great things
I already know
God’s got His hand on You
So don’t live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don’t forget why you’re here
Take your time and pray
These are the words I would say
Last time we spoke you said you were hurting
And I felt your pain in my heart
I want to tell you that I keep on praying
That love will find you where you are
I know cause I’ve already been there
So please hear these simple truths
CHORUS
Say… from one simple life to another
I will say… come find peace in the Father
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope
You’re gonna do great things
I already know
God’s got His hand on You
So don’t live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don’t forget why you’re here
Take your time and pray
And thank God for each day
His love will find a way
These are the words I would say

"What Faith Can Do"
Everybody falls sometimes,
Gotta find the strength to rise,
From the ashes and make a new beginning,
Anyone can feel the ache,
You think it’s more than you can take,
But you are stronger, stronger than you know,
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining,
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining.
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains,
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen,
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard,
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try,
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water,
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing,
You will find your way
If you keep believing.
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise .

~ Wooden letter blocks ~
Another easy craft I made for Fall were these lettered wooden blocks.
The wood blocks cost $ 2.29 for a package of 6.
I painted the blocks burgandy red. then
I cut patterned paper squares and glued them to the blocks.
I cut smaller squares out of scrap linen material and raveled the edges a bit.
Glued those on...
then printed large - font letters on tan colored paper, using the computer...
cut them out, glued, finished !
On the reverse side, I chose the word " WINTER "
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Listen ...
The wind is rising
and the air is wild with leaves.
Winter is an etching,
spring a watercolor,
summer an oil painting,
and autumn ...a mosaic of them all.
~ Autumn's Last Leaves ~
~ Autumn’s Last Leaves ~
Spiraling downward how quickly they go,
Dancing and twirling as winter winds blow,
Withered and dry, all crinkled and crushed,
More battered and bruised with each frosty gust.
Torn from their perch to doom and decay,
The treetops wave as they’re carried away.
Another season is rounding the bend,
Another autumn is nearing it’s end.
Farewell, farewell once beauteous leaves,
Your vibrant colors have dressed our trees,
You offered us shade from hot summer sun,
Alas, farewell…your work is done.
"I love fall!
Fall is exciting.
It's apples and cider.
It's an airborne spider.
It's pumpkins in bins.
It's burrs on dog's chins.
It's wind blowing leaves.
It's chilly red knees.
It's nuts on the ground.
It's a crisp dry sound.
It's green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning.
It's clouds in the sky.
It's fall. That's why...
I love fall."
