“It is always the simple things that change our lives. And these things never happen when you are looking for them to happen. Life will reveal answers at the pace life wishes to do so. You feel like running, but life is on a stroll. This is how God does things.”
Donald Miller

We often feel grateful for the things that someone has done, but we don’t always express it. And if we don’t express our gratitude, what is the point of feeling it?
Because true gratitude is when you say it, or better still, when you show it. By a token of appreciation, a small pat, and an embrace or a small gift goes a long way in showing that you are really thankful.
Please stop over at Tracey's blog for more inspiration!!

Little Rodney, 4 years old, walked down the beach, and as he did, he spied a matronly woman sitting under a beach umbrella on the sand. He walked up to her and asked, "Are you a Christian?"
Look at that profile photo, isn't she just too cute?
I just became a follower, I think you will too.

"Yes," she replied.
"Do you read your Bible every day?"
She nodded her head, "Yes."
"Do you pray often?" the boy asked next, and again she answered, "Yes."
With that he asked his final question, "Will you hold my quarter while I go swimming?"

So long as we love we serve;
So long as we are loved by others,
I would almost say that we are indispensable;
And no one is useless while they have a friend.
Havin' a blue day...
Blue because summer is over...not that I'll be missing the intense heat we've been having but it's the end of the flowering season. I get such enjoyment from working in the flowerbed, even weeding. Jack just shakes his head when I say that.
It's such a stress reliever for me.
Men don't understand that, they just see it as work.
"Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity."

IF I WERE THE DEVIL...........

I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world;
I would delude their minds into thinking that they had come from man's effort, instead of God's blessings;
I would promote an attitude of loving things and using people, instead of the other way around;
I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenue;
I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership;
I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies;
I would make it socially acceptable to take one's own life, and invent machines to make it convenient;
I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that the life of animals is valued more than human beings;
I would take God out of the schools, where even the mention of His name was grounds for a lawsuit;
I would come up with drugs that sedate the mind and target the young, and I would get sports heroes to advertise them;
I would get control of the media, so that every night I could pollute the mind of every family member for my agenda;
I would attack the family, the backbone of any nation.
I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable.If the family crumbles, so does the nation;
I would compel people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movie screens, and I would call it art;I would then funnel tax dollars to promote this art.
I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals,and that their lifestyles should be accepted and marveled;
I would convince the people that right and wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities and refer to their agenda as politically correct;
I would persuade people that the church is irrelevant and out of date, and the Bible is for the naive;
I would dull the minds of Christians, and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional;
I guess I would leave things pretty much the way they are.

Very photographic...
This is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in.
I'm used to little country churches!
This Victorian-Gothic style church is amazing. The architecture, and artwork, are just beautiful, and the stone carvings are phenomenal.

St. Mary's Church was built in 1860 on property
owned by Charles Carroll the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence.
If you're in Annapolis, it's totally worth checking out. Go in at night--with nothing but the candles and low lights, it will take your breath away.

" Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends."
